What does KASO stand for?

 The Finnish trademark KASO was represented in Geneva until the company owner reached retirement age. One day, in the early 2000s, upon noticing the name KASO on a safe, Olivier Redard, CEO of Coffres-forts Rondo, decided to get in contact with the firm. The answer was not long in coming, accompanied by full documentation, since the Helsinki-based company which had lost its representation was still keen to maintain its presence on the Swiss market. This quickly led to the prospect of a partnership with Rondo. 

The start of a beautiful story

For its part, the Geneva-based family business was attracted by the fact that, despite its size, KASO had also managed to remain in the hands of the same family. Olivier Redard therefore ordered a safe to test its quality and realised that KASO was a reliable company. The excellent and straightforward relationship that developed between the two firms has since endured for almost 20 years. It is interesting to note that owners, salesmen and representatives have not changed during that period, which in itself is a clear sign of pleasing continuity. Moreover, KASO enables Coffres-forts Rondo to stand out in the French-speaking part of Switzerland with a different range of products that achieve excellent results in all levels of burglary and fire tests. 

Transportation

The safes travel from Helsinki by truck, then by boat to Hamburg and again by truck to Basel, where the goods are cleared through customs, and then again by truck to Geneva. 

The only brand? 

Coffres-forts Rondo also works with the German company FORMAT, which ideally complements the KASO range with a wide range of small to medium-sized safes, mainly for private individuals. The choice of manufacturer is based on price, weight, quality and customer expectations. For this reason, Rondo also works with Swiss dealers who source from Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic.
